The TP-Link TL-SM5110-SR 10GBase-SR SFP+ LC Transceiver is a strong choice for short-range 10 Gigabit Ethernet over multimode fibre. It operates at 850nm, provides 10Gbps full-duplex connectivity, uses an LC duplex interface, supports DDM and SFP+ MSA, and can reach up to 300 metres on suitable 50/125µm OM3 fibre.
It is especially suitable for data centres, enterprise networks, ISP infrastructure, server connections, high-capacity CCTV backbones and campus networks where 1Gbps uplinks are no longer sufficient.
Current Kenyan market examples place the TL-SM5110-SR at approximately KES 2,976 excluding VAT or KES 3,452 including VAT, although pricing and availability can change.
